About Master KC
Kelechi “Master KC” Ibeleme was born into a musical family and was enrolled in piano lessons at an early age. His father, Bishop Dr. David Ibeleme, purchased a lot of gospel CDs in KC’s formative years. Through consistent exposure to gospel music in his childhood, KC developed an affinity for gospel music and later got drawn to DJing upon seeing someone do it at a sports day and figuring out that two songs can be mixed together in a palatable fashion.
As time went on, he became even more enthralled with the endless creative possibilities of DJing and began improving himself. He’s had the honour of making multiple guest appearances on W107.1FM and being a part of Sky 99.5 FM for 2 years (May 11th 2016 to June 28th 2018). He releases his mixes on his DJ podcast (Master KC’s Podcast), which is available on multiple platforms. His podcast has achieved the number 1 spot on Apple Podcasts Music category multiple times and he was also nominated for the DJ of the Year category of the Gospel Music Awards of Trinidad and Tobago multiple times.
His DJ name, Master KC, is an acronym that stands for Ministry And Service To the Eternal Ruler, King and Creator — a testament to his faith and his driving force behind everything he does on the 1’s and 2’s. Master KC intends to consistently learn and improve his craft with the help of Almighty God as he continues to blaze a trail, impacting the culture everywhere he goes.
